Get outside now, wet weather to return mid-week

Our 'Spring-in-February routine continued Saturday, as a big ridge of high pressure ballooned over the West Coast and kept the clouds away.

While the wind is keeping the air clear for many of us, it's not able to work its magic over the Kitsap Peninsula and in the South Sound.  An AIR STAGNATION ADVISORY is in place for much of this region through Monday afternoon.  At the same time, a STAGE 1 BURN BAN goes on for Pierce County, so burning isn't allowed except for in certified wood stoves.

The upper high/lower level east wind pattern continues through the next couple of days.  Highs on Sunday will once again be in the upper 50s to near 60, with a slight cool down into the low/middle 50s by Monday.  Both days will be mostly sunny and gorgeous.

The high starts to break down by Tuesday, and increasing clouds will begin to seep back in by mid-week.  Showers will begin to pop up near the coast at this point, with a better chance of rain in the Sound by Thursday.  Friday night and Saturday look quite wet as a good-sized cold front is finally able to get back in to Western Washington.  Highs will cool into the upper 40s as the rain returns.

Enjoy the rest of THIS weekend certainly won't be nearly as nice!

Have a great night,
